Saturday morning, DSC members gathered at Elm Fork Shooting Sports in Dallas for an archery “tune-up” and intro to archery event presented by Texans Archery Club.

The range, operated by Texans Archery Club, includes a form wall, instruction range, practice range and a 20 target range.

The more experienced shooters took to the African safari course, full of lanes featuring multiple targets – fun and challenging setups.

Novice and beginners headed to the instruction range to learn the basics of archery at the family-friendly event.

“We had a great time getting to see the excitement of new shooters as they improved throughout the day,” Nate Watson, DSC Membership and Volunteer Coordinator said.

“Our experienced shooters did great on the Safari course and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to spend time outside and together,” he said.

Bob Barnette of the Texas Youth Hunting Program and Rob Neilson of the Ashby Bowhunting Foundation came out to raise awareness of their organizations.
