If you are one of the thousands of Lone Star Outdoor News readers who pick up the paper for free across the state every two weeks, you may have noticed something new with the newsstand boxes.
Beginning with the Aug. 24 issue, the LSON kiosks are tagged with information about the Dallas Safari Club’s 2013 Convention and Sporting Expo, Jan. 3-6 at the Dallas Convention Center.
“The greatest hunters convention on the planet” features outfitters, taxidermists, artists and booking agents showcasing their products at the biggest outdoors show in Texas.
Last year, more than 38,000 people attended the show, perusing 425,000-square-feet of exhibit space. DSC also raised more than $110,000 for youth education programs through the Dallas Ecological Foundation, a nonprofit charitable foundation affiliated with DSC.
Now, along with getting the most up to date hunting and fishing information from across Texas inside the box, readers can also plan to head to one of the best hunting shows in the country next January by looking on top of the box.
Look for the LSON newsstand boxes at your favorite hunting and fishing stores from Brownsville to Dallas and everywhere in between.
