aabjumpingAnglers around Texas who don’t have plans yet should head to Lake Fork this Saturday, June 29, for a benefit tournament for Jason Pack, son of professional angler Mark Pack.

According to tournament director Stan Browning, Jason needs surgery to help a degenerative spine issue that isn’t covered by insurance.

The benefit tournament will be spread over two days, with Saturday being open to any non-professional angler for the chance to win the $5,000 first place prize. An additional prize of $1,000 will be given for the biggest bass caught.

Signup for the Saturday tournament will be Friday, June 28 between 5 and 7 p.m. at Lake Fork Marina. Another signup will be held before the launch Saturday morning at Lake Fork Marina from 4 to 6 a.m.

On Sunday, professional anglers and Lake Fork guides will take amateur anglers with the highest bid on The Texas Fishing Forum during the past two weeks for another tournament.

Bidding ended last night, and some pros went for as much as $5,000. Professional anglers competing include Kelly Jordon, Lance Vick, Mark Pack, Gary Dobyns, Clark Rheem, Mark Watson, James Caldemeyer and many more.

Fishing times will be from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.
