Sixteen billfish caught during 2013 Texas Women Anglers Tournament

aacwildcatbThe 2013 Texas Women Anglers Tournament was held this past weekend in Port Aransas.

A total of 64 boasts competed for a total payout of $467,117.

Sixteen total billfish were brought to the scales — 6 blue marlin, 4 white marlin and 6 sailfish.

The Wildcatter took top honors in the blue marlin category, boating and releasing two fish caught by San Antonio anglers Peggy Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes.

Blue Marlin:

1st Place – Wildcatter, 2 releases
