So you want to be a game warden?

The deadline to apply for a position as a Texas Game Warden Trainee is May 31, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Applicants must have reached the age of 21 years on or before the date of entry into the Game Warden Training Academy. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.

A background check will be conducted, and applicants cannot have convictions for a felony or Class A misdemeanor at any time, a Class B misdemeanor within 10 years for DWI or BWI or any family violence offense.
