Dakota’s 2,000 mile hunt

by Lili Keys

Most of the time Dakota, the newsroom dog, takes care of the day to day duties of the newspaper. Delivering mail, chewing antlers, keeping the staff entertained usually occupies his time. Over the holiday break, Dakota took his skills to the field which resulted in a epic 2,000 mile round trip hunt.

He started off in central Texas for a pheasant hunt, at the Santa Anna Hunting Area. Then continued on to revisit the first duck club Dakota ever hunted, east of Dallas. He hopped in the deer blind to celebrate the last hunt of the year near Old Glory. Starting off the new year right, Dakota loaded up in the truck and headed to the plains of Kansas for more pheasant.

He’s one lucky office dog.
