Murchison angler wins on Ray Hubbard

IMG 6111Murchison, Texas angler Pam Ridgle took home the win at the first 2012 event for the Lady Bass Anglers Association on Lake Ray Hubbard Friday.

Ridgle, the 2011 LBAA Rookie of the Year took home a two-day bag of 24.27 pounds to claim the win. She was in sixth place after day one

“The wind didn’t blow today and it allowed me to slow down and fish the way I wanted to,” she said. “By 10 a.m., I had four fish and was looking for a fifth. Everywhere I went, there were other competitors on the spots I wanted to fish. Finally around 1:30, I started culling as I was able to get on a couple spots and let it (the worm) do its thing.”

She used a Tiki Stick worm rigged wacky style in New Orleans color.

Alabama’s Kim Bain-Moore took second with 22.41 pounds.

Conditions changed the from the first day, when cold and wind dominated. Day two saw sunshine and not as much wind.
