aamudbugHungry hunters in the Dallas Metroplex should mark their calendars for Saturday, May 11 between noon and 4 p.m. and join the Dallas Safari Club’s Young Professionals Group Annual Crawfish Boil at the Barley House, 5612 SMU Boulevard.

The event has grown from a small gathering of friends several years ago to an all-day, all-you-can-eat-and-drink affair with live music, cold beer and tons of mudbugs.

This year, Grant Jones and the Pistol Grip Lassos will be playing tunes for the expected crowd of 200 to 300 people.

This year, 500 pounds of crawfish will be boiled, meaning plenty of good food for everyone.

Four or five “really cool” silent auction items, including a Yeti cooler and fishing trips, will be available to bid on.

And this year, all of the event’s proceeds will go toward the Sportsmen’s Alliance for Alaska’s Save Bristol Bay campaign.

The mudbugs will be provided by Heads or Tails Cajun Crawfish.
