The third annual God and The Great Outdoors Expo is finally here, offering industry professionals to market their goods and services in the East Texas region, and offering interested sportsmen the chance to check out what’s new.
The event, scheduled for July 28-29 at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Brownsboro, has something for every outdoor enthusiast. Skeeter boats, Lowrance Electronics, Tackle Addict, and Bonehead Tackle are just a few of the vendors on the fishing side. And, professional angler Todd Castledine will be doing question-and-answer sessions Saturday for those wishing to sharpen their angling skills. Not to mention, the first 50 kids on Friday and 100 kids on Saturday from the ages of 5 to 12 will receive a free Zebco rod and reel and tackle combo.
On the hunting side, ranches and outfitters from around the state, such as G2 Ranch, Cedar Cove Ranch, Pompey Creek Ranch, Rough Creek Lodge and Find-A-Hunt will be in attendance and ready to help you plan your next hunt. Organizations who preserve our hunting heritage, like Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation, will also make an appearance. And, last but not least, Devin Spinney, host of The Way It Was hunting show on the Pursuit Channel will be speaking Saturday evening.
The Super Retriever Series will be holding a dock jump competition both days with open times for those who want to enjoy some water time with their furry companion.
Kids and families can enjoy the Texas Junior Anglers fish tank, a petting zoo, pony rides and bounce houses. Curtis Grimes, 2019 TCMA Entertainer of the Year, will be in concert on Friday night.
The event will also give away a new CanAm ATV Saturday night at the closing ceremony.
