Social media posts poured in Monday morning, with hunters and fishermen gloating over their weekend success. Teal hunters led the way, especially in East Texas and along the coast. At Port Bay Club in Rockport, it was the best in years, but some hunters were afraid to shoot due to an abundance of spoonies (shovelers). Near Matagorda, limits were the norm. At Kent Outfitters, a few hunters bagged much larger birds, as they took advantage of the early Canada goose season.
An angler at Town Lake landed a 10-pound bass, while dove hunters posted mixed results, as the dove seem to be on the move.
