Post cold-front fishing along the Texas coast is great, according to Capt. Nathan Beabout.

“It started of slow today, but from 10:30 a.m. on the bite was aggressive!” said Beabout. “Nothing big, but nice solid 18- to 22-inch trout.”

Beabout reported 25-35 keeper trout and reds caught on Down South Lures, Magic Grass, Strawberry Wine, and Corkys.

“We concentrated our wades in knee to thigh deep water,” he said, adding a few fish were kept for dinner but the rest were released.
