Houston Safari Club once again proudly announces the 2015 recipients of its Dan L. Duncan Scholarship awards. The 25 winners were chosen from hundreds of applicants.
These applicants must have a desire to protect and promote the sport of hunting and the principles of conservation. Applicants for these scholarships are undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Wildlife Management and/or Range Management. The ideal candidate must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities and complete a thorough application process including recommendations, transcript reviews, and in some cases, providing thesis information.
Following a thorough review of all applicants, the Scholarship Selection Committee awarded 25, $5,000 scholarships. HSC, in conjunction with its charitable arm the American Conservation and Education Society, has awarded scholarships of more than $1.6 million dollars.
