Whether it be a deer hunter, gun lover, or ATV enthusiast, those attending the Texas Hunter Outdoor Class in San Antonio this weekend will have plenty to look at and do.
State Representative Lyle Larson, who is the lead organizer of the THOC, said everything has been kicked up a notch for the third annual event.
“We’re excited to pair up with the San Antonio Gun Show, which is the largest in South Texas,” Larson said. “And we have the Big Game Awards; the largest display of trophy white-tailed deer in the country.”
The portion of the convention center the San Antonio Gun Show covers will boast between 900 and 1,000 tables of guns, ammo, shooting supplies and knives. A $10 entry free gets attendees into both shows.
Other attractions include a 3D pop-up archery range, indoor ATV demo track, BBQ cook-off, and the increasingly popular Texas Jump Off.
“The dock dog event is growing in popularity — we had dogs from seven states compete last year,” Larson said. “The Texas Jump Off is developing into a huge event within our event.”
The Classic will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, reopening at 10 a.m. on Sunday and ending at 5 p.m.
