Story from Taxidermy King
On Jan. 22 and 23, Taxidermy King will hold the largest taxidermy and Western auction to be held at its new auction house in Austin. The auction will include the liquidation of eight estates.
Owner John Brommel said the auctions at John Brommel’s Taxidermy & Western & Antique Auction will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
The items include spectacular exotic trophy mounts, ivory items including elephant tusks, bronzes, Indian and cowboy items, along with the estates of several legendary hunters’ private collections. Additionally, many of the state’s top taxidermist have consigned to the sale.
Other highlights include full-body lion, leopard, grizzly and brown bear mounts, hundreds of whitetails, including 400-inch deer, cougars, zebra mounts and hides, an awesome brown bear rug, antler lamps and chandeliers and much, much more.
The new auction house is located at 205 Farley Drive in Austin.

Brommel said these are some of the best taxidermy collections ever sold, so bring a trailer and save big! For those attending live, masks will be required and temperatures taken.
