Legendary Broseco Ranch liquidation through Icon Global Group

The Broseco Ranch, which derives its name from the Brown Family and former Brown Securities Company, will be completely sold and liquidated in its entirety commencing with sealed bids November 15.

For some 50 years, the Broseco Ranch brand has been recognized as a benchmark brand for the Texas cattle industry, with its revered 2,000 plus Red Angus herd producing its consumer brand of producers’ alliance beef marketed as “Ranchers Reserve.” More recently, the ranch diversified into the recreational hunting and fishing markets boasting an enviable managed deer herd infused with leading genetics, as well as two 100-acre managed bass fishing lakes. Located along the Sulphur River, near Mount Pleasant, Texas, the ranch also accommodates a variety of wildlife hunting and fishing packages including lodging stays for enthusiasts.

The Broseco Ranch (approximately 11,800 acres) is currently listed at $34,220,000, or $2,900 per acre. The ranch will be sold and liquidated completely through a sealed bid process. The marketing and sale is being handled by Bernard Uechtritz of the Icon Global Group, the leading Briggs Freeman and Sotheby’s International Realty ranch sales team worldwide.

“We are offering the property both as a whole and in separate tracts,” Uechtritz said. “We will review all offers submitted to Farmer, Fuqua & Huff Certified Public Accountants on or before the deadlines. The ranch has terrific subdivision and diversified use potential ranging from a commercial tract on Interstate 30, to serious ranching and grazing land, along with high fenced and other recreational tracts making it a very valuable acquisition opportunity.”

After the real estate is sold, the remaining livestock, equipment and personal property will be sold.

“We have experienced tremendous early interest in the offering and are now busy pre-qualifying clients, their interest, as well as setting up ranch tours and finalizing bid packages,” Uechtritz said.
