Outdoor expo to take place June 25-27 at Texas Motor Speedway.

It’s been a long time coming. DUX, the Ducks Unlimited Expo, is finally here, taking place June 25-27 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The journey has taken some time. Originally set for 2020, a certain virus had other plans. DU adjusted, again making plans for an April 2021 event. Restrictions and uncertainty called for another adjustment. After considering May dates, June seemed more secure, and planning began again.

This time, it’s a go. Restrictions are lifted, people are anxious to get together, and DUX is the perfect place.

Many thousands of Texas hunters got their conservation start by attending a local DU banquet. There, they heard about the millions of acres of wetlands and waterfowl habitat conserved by the organization’s efforts, the benefits to ducks and geese, and the countless other wildlife species that benefit.

What better place to celebrate more than eight decades of conservation than DUX, where everything a hunter or conservationist could need or want is all in one place.

Need an ATV or a truck? Driving off-road tracks are there for you to test all the new models. The ATV/UTV track even includes mud pits, hills, ruts and logs to navigate.

Need a firearm or some shooting help? Ranges and the top representatives from all the firearm manufacturers will be there.

Want dog training tips? Dog experts will be at the Dog Village, with live dog demonstrations and plenty of guidance.

Fishing is your thing? Test out a canoe or kayak and learn casting techniques, whether for fly-fishing or more conventional styles.

Want to see what’s new? More than 100 exhibitors will be there with the latest in accessories for hunting, fishing, camping and more. Even bikers can test out what’s new on an easy, off-road track.

Duck hunters can watch eight different duck and goose calling contests where winners will take home a total purse topping $10,000.

Music fans aren’t left out. Live music from up=and-coming country artists will take place all weekend, and the Duck Jam on Saturday night will highlight country star Gary Allan, and include artists Priscilla Block, Travis Denning and Jordan Davis.

Make you plans now, there is plenty of parking at the speedway, it’s easy to find north of Fort Worth, and you’ll see your hunting friends and familiar faces you’ve been missing the last year.
