Opening day for Texas’ North, Central dove zones

by Lili Keys

The Texas dove season is off and running in the North and Central zones today as many hunters headed afield this morning for the annual Sept. 1 start.

Good reports are coming from many places across North Texas, along with a few disappointing hunts, as well.

Birds are plentiful and a few hunters who did not shoot a limit are heading back out this afternoon.

The bag limit in Texas is 15 dove per day.

The crew from LSON will be hunting a field near Forney this afternoon and we’ll have a full report in the morning.

Good luck to everyone today and send hunt reports to news@lonestaroutdoornews.com.
