First buck for Oregon resident
LSON’s national ad salesman, Mike Nelson, brought his son, Hunter, down to Texas for a whitetail deer hunting trip.
The 28-year-old Oregon resident had never shot a deer before, so the father/son group decided to come down to Texas to try to make it happen. After the headache of flight trouble, they arrived at the hunting ranch at 1:15 a.m., a few hours of sleep and they were in the blind bright and early.
Anticipation was high on the first sit with the rut in full swing. A nice mature 9-pointer came out almost on cue. Hunter made a perfect shot right behind the shoulder and harvested his first whitetailed deer. Look for the adventure caught on film on Hunt Stand TV.Â
