Shimano owner’s tournament headed to lake Sam Rayburn to target big bass

By Shimano

Great bass fishing on Sam Rayburn, fun with friends and family, and the chance to win cash prizes are part of the upcoming Shimano ‘Owner’s Tournament’ on Saturday, September 29. Headquartered out of the Umphrey Pavilion at Sam Rayburn in Brookeland, Texas, the tournament is open to any angler who has purchased a minimum of $150 in Shimano and/or G. Loomis tackle since Jan. 1 through Sept. 28, 2018.

The big bass event pays out $5,000 for the overall big bass, along with hourly payouts – $500 for biggest, $300 for second largest and $200 for third – from 8 a.m. until noon. “We’ll have a good selection of Shimano, G. Loomis, PowerPro and Jackall tackle prizes and other fishing-related items also awarded,” said Tommy Thomson with Shimano. “We can’t think of a better way to say thanks for the support Shimano receives from Texas bass anglers – fishing on a great body of water and maybe going home with $5,000 in your pocket.”

Complete details and rules are available on the TTZ1.com website, and you can access the online registration at http://ttz1.com/2018-shimano-owners-tournament/. Anglers can also register in-person at the Umphrey Pavilion on Friday, Sept. 28 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and also starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday. First cast is at 6:45 a.m.
