The Kiwanis Club of McKinney will host the 2nd Annual Shooting for the Future Sporting Clay Event benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Elm Fork Shooting Center.

“This will help raise funds for the expanded growth of the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County,” said Tom Day, a member of the Kiwanis Club of McKinney. “Last year, we presented them with a check of $14,000, and this year we are 30 percent ahead of where we were at this time a year ago.”

Up to 250 shooters can attend, and space is filling quickly. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start following at 9 a.m.

The day includes breakfast, lunch from Sonny Bryans Smokehouse and a raffle, including guns and a live auction for hog and duck hunts, fishing trips and more.
