Cabela’s in the state of Texas (Allen, Buda, Fort Worth and Waco) will celebrate the beginning of the thaw by hosting Cabela’s Spring Great Outdoor Days 2014 on March 1 and 2, encouraging outdoorsmen and women to shift their focus from winter to spring adventures.
Among the activities will be seminars, demonstrations and cooking events for the entire family. Specific events will vary from location to location.
Cabela’s will offer a full schedule of complimentary workshops and in-store demonstrations, including:
· Free Catch & Release Family Fishing Tank, Saturday & Sunday, 11a.m. – 3 p.m.
· Fattest Catfish Tournament – Adult (15+) & Youth Divisions, $100 gift card each for heaviest catch, Saturday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., No equipment provided, At onsite lake.
· Onsite Boat Show, Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Enjoy great sales, free hot dogs and drinks and a live band.
Local industry expert Seth Kelm will be in-store presenting bass tournament trail tips and answering questions. Additionally, representatives from Texas Parks and Wildlife, Cowtown Bowmen, Fort Worth Fly Fishers and more will be in attendance.
As part of the festivities, attendees will be able to enter to win a $5000 Cabela’s shopping spree.
