Texas Deer Association (TDA) is excited to announce Kevin Davis, a longtime policy expert and advocate for deer breeders, as the new Executive Director. Kevin’s experience and deep knowledge of industry history will help TDA continue its successful organizational growth and expand relationships with all necessary stakeholders in the future.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Kevin Davis to the TDA family. He brings a wealth of knowledge about the deer breeding industry and legislative process, which is foundational for both our advocacy and membership efforts,” said TDA President John True. “We’re looking forward to working in lockstep with him on our efforts to ensure fair and cohesive regulations industry-wide.”

Kevin began his career at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) in 1996 and served as a Texas Game Warden for over 24 years, and retired at the rank of Assistant Director of Law Enforcement. After his time with TPWD, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Deer Breeders Corporation (DBC), promoting and supporting the deer breeding and hunting industries.

“I am honored to join the TDA team as Executive Director, and I look forward to working with John, the TDA Board and our members to advocate for consistent, transparent and science-backed regulations for the deer breeding industry,” said Kevin Davis. “Deer breeders are committed to the responsible management and protection of Texas deer herds. We adamantly support appropriate and comprehensive regulations to protect our animals and businesses. I intend to continue working diligently to protect these interests.”
