Capt. Nathan Beabout of Seadrift has been having a great season, and this past weekend didn’t disappoint his anglers.
“The fish were found in knee-deep water over scattered sand pockets this weekend,” he said. “The key was locating dirty streaks of water where rafts of mullet were seeking shelter.”
In the two days, his groups landed about 35 speckled trout and a few reds. Most of the fish were landed on Corky Soft-Dines and Fat Boys.
“We enjoyed nonstop action and even got the chance to sight-cast a few reds in the skinny water,” Beabout said.
