In San Antonio Bay, a midday top-water bite was a welcome sight, according to guide Capt. Nathan Beabout.

“Wade fishing with artificials and especially top-waters has been producing great results in San Antonio Bay,” he said. “From the reefs to the shorelines, any place we can find dirty streaks is producing good results.”

Both redfish and trout are turning on later in the day.

“We are seeing a great midday top-water bite for redfish and big trout,” Beabout said. “The trout are ranging from 22-27 inches.”
