Time running out to enter several TPWD draw hunts

by Lili Keys

The clock is ticking for hunters looking to apply for public hunts through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s drawn hunts.

The first deadlines are for unique East Texas Alligator hunts on August 7 and Alligator Management hunts on August 10.

Other Drawn Hunt deadlines coming in August and early September:

You can apply multiple times in the same category (but only once per area) and have until 11:59 p.m. CST on the day of the deadline to submit your application.

Holders of the Annual Public Hunting Permit ($48) can also apply for E-postcard hunts, including an Archery Deer permit before Sept. 27, and U.S. Forest Service Permits.

Other hunt category deadlines will be coming up throughout the year.
