Umarex USA is producing 500 individually numbered Colt 1911 WWII Commemorative Edition airguns in 2014, and they’re being offered only to buyers at NSSF’s annual Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference in Las Vegas, January 14-17.
The Commemorative Edition 1911 bears an engraving on the slide that captures the essence and memory of the Second World War. Each of the 500 handguns will have unique aged metal finishes and each will be numbered in sequence from one to 500. The Colt WWII Commemorative Edition operates with the power of a single 12 gram CO2 capsule that is concealed behind the gun’s wood grips. Proven valve technology propels spherical steel ammunition while creating a powerful slide cycle. Each is packaged in a box decorated to resemble printing of the time.
Umarex USA will be taking orders for these limited edition commemoratives numbers two through 500 at its booth, #14745, from Tuesday through Thursday of SHOT Show. Number one will be held for a drawing at the close of show business on Thursday, January 16. Those eligible for the drawing will be the dealers that placed an order for one or more Commemorative Editions at the show.
A model of the Colt 1911 WWII Commemorative Edition will be on display at the Umarex booth, #14745 at SHOT Show on the second level of the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
