baytownboat The body of 35-year-old Damon Miller, who was involved in a boating accident Saturday, was found around 7 a.m. Monday near Baytown.

Coast Guard crews had suspended their search Sunday morning for Miller, who was ejected from his jon boat in a collision off Roseland Park, near Baytown.

The search began after a 17-foot center console boat and a jon boat, with two men aboard, collided around 4:45 p.m., ejecting the men from their jon boat.  A Baytown Fire Department crew arrived on scene and rescued one of the men, but was unable to locate the other.

Houston-based Coast Guard crews aboard helicopters and boats searched for the man along with search crews from the Baytown Police Department, Baytown Fire Department, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Harris County Marine Division.

The men in the center console boat, brothers Jason Clyde Delavergne, 36, and Joseph Charles Delavergne, 33, turned themselves in on Sunday, after fleeing the scene of the wreck on Saturday. Both men are being charged with failure to stop and render aid.
