On April 26, sportsmen and women will gather at the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dallas for a Wild Game Dinner, Auction and Raffle held by SMP Global/Christian Outdoor Ministry.
Founded by Dr. Danny Souder, the Christian ministry provides youth and their families opportunities each month to experience God’s creation through hunting and fishing events.
“There are more than 30,000 youth in the area who have an interest in participating in our events,” Souder said. “This past year, the Christian Outdoor Ministry (COM) provided and fulfilled 12 youth outdoor events for youth and their families, including hunts for deer, turkey, rams, hogs and dove, along with fishing events.”
The purpose of the fundraiser is to provide information and support to COM, to provide youth scholarships and reduce expenses for youth and their families so more of them may participate.
The 501(c)(3) charitable organization has a board of directors of businessmen and women committed to the mission who provide guidance, counsel and support to the mission goals.
And the event will be fun! Some of the auction items available include South African hunts, deer and turkey hunts, a dove hunt in Argentina, rifle and shotgun training, landscaping, trophy room cleaning and restoration, two shotguns and two rifles, and more.
